Yes baby shampoo will work just fine for washing your dog with.
I've used baby shampoo to wash my dogs coat before when I ran out of dog shampoo and I noticed it actually got the dog cleaner and gave the dog a shiner coat than regular dog shampoo so I only use baby shampoo to wash my dog now.
