You can ask questions as well as post answers.
As a new user that newly signs up the first question or answer has to be approved and after your first question or answer is approved then your questions and answers can freely be posted without going into moderation.
I do this to prevent spam from going through and filling up the website.
Sometimes I'll approve a new users questions or answers and then spam shows up but then when I see the spam from the user the user that spams gets blocked and the spam questions or spam answers get deleted.
I hate to have to moderate the questions or answers from new users but I have to or the website would be filled with spam.
Most questions and answers are approved within a few hours although some may take a bit longer but all questions and answers are checked within 24 hours or less.
Now that I've approved your question then you won't need anymore moderation.
I checked the moderation queue and there is some spam questions showing up that needs denied by other users.
If I hadn't had them show up in the moderation queue they would fill the website.
