Pressure build up in your ears is usually caused by inflammation or swelling of the eustachian tubes.

The eustachian tubes in your ears usually become swollen or inflamed due to a viral infection from a cold virus or sore throat infection.

Usually this condition of the pressure in your ears will go away within a week or 10 days. But if not you might need to see a doctor to get the ears drained of the fluid.
