Many experts have noted that there are usually 5 stages of rehab, where the recovering addict undergoes common behavioral change patterns. The first stage is ‘precontemplation’ where the addict is in denial of their addiction, despite all the evidence given to them. They may be in an arrogant state of mind that everything is fine with them, and that they can stop the addiction at any time.

The second stage is ‘contemplation’ where the addict finally moves from denial to acceptance of their addiction. They finally recognize the fact that they need help and aren’t afraid to ask for it. The third stage is ‘preparation’ where they start making the necessary preparations to go for rehabilitation. In this stage, it is vital for them to receive full support and acceptance from their friends and family members.

The fourth stage is action. This is the most difficult of all stages, as it will require them to undergo detox and withdrawal symptoms like nausea, depression, anxiety, headaches and insomnia. They will also need to learn how to manage their cravings.

The final stage is maintenance, where they are reintegrated into society and they learn how to live in the world with healthy coping mechanisms. In this stage, they will need to take many precautions to not fall into relapse. Check out here to know - https://oceanridgeoc.com/

Good afternoon forum, can you please advise me where I could find a good rehab that would help me beat my addiction? I live in Phoenix, I think it would be good to find a rehab in my hometown, thanks!

Hey there!
Facing addiction is tough, but you're already making a big leap by seeking help. I totally get wanting to stay in Phoenix for your journey. A friend of mine was in a similar boat, and they found a place right here in town that was a game-changer for them. It's called Modern Recovery. Here's their website if you want to check them out: Phoenix Drug Rehab. My buddy appreciated how they focused on personalized care, and it wasn't just about the addiction, but also about rebuilding life and handling stress. They're pretty big on community support too, which I think is super important. Maybe they could be the right fit for you as well. Take care, and all the best on your path to recovery!

Do you think I can go to a rehab center just to relax, get some therapy and all that? I wouldn't mind getting away from my life now, limiting all connections with the world and relaxing. Modern inpatient drug and alcohol rehab centers, including Lumina Recovery, which I also consider for my purposes, help people return to normal life without addictions. I think this is the main point of such centers.
