Answered: User registration on this website will be fully back online soon

I totally understand why you had to turn the registration off and on.

If you use Cloudflare, I would set under attack mode on and see if it stops the malicious user bots signing up?

I run a forum myself and had been getting lots of malicious signups and had to turn on under attack mode temporarily and the malicious bots stopped.

However you can't just leave the under attack mode on as it will also block Google search bots and other good bots and even some legit users.

But it's a temporary measure, while real users can signup and then you can turn it back off and then turn the user registration back off for awhile again.

Hopefully you find a way to stop the malicious bots.

My own forum and blog was taken down during the Cpanel hack but thankfully I had some offsite backups and got it back online on a new server.

Answered: User registration is temporary turned off due to bot activity signing up for spam accounts

That's completely understandable.

I run a forum and get an influx of bots signing up and have to ban them and it's a lot of work.
I have a few people helping me, which helps some.

I to have to turn the registration off for awhile, especially if I get a lot of bots signing up and can't be available to moderate it.

When I do turn registration on to my forum, I'll watch the signups and if there's a bunch of bots, I'll band them and delete their accounts right away.

Commented: Unable to upload pictures on answerpail.com questions and answers?

I haven't been able to work on this issue with the images on here yet, as I've been busy with other things as well as catching up on sleep that I lost due to the cpanel hack.

Although user registrations are currently turned off, if you did have an account on here you'll need to sign up for a new account.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I hope to have the issue with the images uploading and displaying on here fixed soon.
