Most kids will use a play set or swing set up to around 8 to 10 years old.

However some kids may continue to use the play set or at least the swings and slide until 15 to 18 years old.

Most often kids will begin really playing on the swing and play set by age 3 to 4 years old and then some kids will think they are too big or too old to play on the play set after age 8 years old.

All kids are different though.

You can put a playset on grass and grass is a good place to set a playset as it provides protection to your kids should they fall.

It's also recommended that you secure the playset in the ground to prevent it from trying to tip over when the child is swinging on them.

Playsets are worth it as they provide a place for your kids to play outside without having to go to the park.

Kids love to play and a playset with a swing, slide etc can keep the kids busy and keep them from being bored.

You can't always take the kids to the park and having a playset brings the park somewhat in your own yard.

As long as you can afford the playset and have room in your backyard for it they are well worth it.

You should spend around $300.00 to $600.00 or more if you can on a swing set.

Sometimes a simple cheap metal swing set is good enough but if you can afford it it's a good idea to buy or make a good quality wood swing set and play set that will last longer and not sag like some of the metal ones will.

You can also make your own swing set out of some wood and some hardware and it's usually cheaper than buying a pre made swing set.

Some 4x4 posts and other beams and a few swings and a slide can make a cheap swing set or playset.

A beam for 3 swings should be at least 12 ft long.

You want a 12 ft long beam for 3 swings so that you can space them far enough apart.

It's best to space the swings at least 18 inches apart to provide plenty of room.

Also use a nice thick beam when possible to make it last longer and prevent it from breaking.

Swings are relaxing as the swinging motion calms the mind.

Swinging is relaxing as swinging is a calming motion.

Swinging back and forth or swinging up high and fast is even more relaxing as swinging is fun and also releases endorphins into the body, which makes children and adults or anyone of any age feel happier and more focused.

Swinging allows you to neutralize the disruptions that are caused by your vestibular system, which can often originate in the inner ear.

The smooth, back-and-forth motion can be soothing and calming to a child or anyone of any age, which is why you will often see swings utilized in classroom or therapy settings.

Swinging on a swing set does reduce stress.

Swinging on a swing is a natural method of stimulating vestibular system.

Vestibular stimulation can alleviate stress by inhibiting hypothalamo- pituitary adrenal-axis and sympathetic- adreno medullary axis.

Swinging is very good exercise.

When you swing it's both good exercise for your body as well as your mind.

When you swing you pump your legs up and down which helps to increase blood blow and prevent blood clots as well as reduce your risk of heart attack, stroke etc.

Swinging is also good mentally as it reduces stress, anxiety and is a lot of fun.

Swinging on swings is not just for kids and anyone of any age can use a swing to play on and have fun.

Swing seats are made strong enough for adults as well as children.

The weight limit for swings depends on the swing.

Some swings have a weight limit of around 100 lbs to 200 lbs and some swings have a weight limit of up to 600 lbs.

The cheaper metal child swing sets usually hold up to 100 to 130 lbs before they start to bend.

The more expensive commercial type swings and swing frames can hold up to 600 lbs or more.

Wooden Play Set Swings can usually hold up to 600 lbs as well depending on how strong the wood is.

We have a wooden swing set in our backyard and I weigh around 150 lbs and I go on our swing with my children and have fun.

It's never broke or sagged or anything and the swing seats are made for both adults and kids and have a 660 lb weight limit.

I built the swing set to be strong.

The commercial playground swings are also built to be strong and hold adults as well as children so it should not be a problem for you to go on the swing if you're an adult.
