The reason old age is called the golden years is because the saying golden years was coined in 1959 in an advertising campaign for America's first large-scale retirement community.

Retirees saw themselves as “too old to work, too young to die.” No wonder they grasped with both hands the idea of retirement as essentially a second childhood!

However even at age 50 you are also in your Golden Years.

However not everyone's old age is so golden and fun but some old age people act younger than some young people and still have a lot of fun.

50 years old is considered a golden age.

For most people turning 50 is a good thing and when they turn 50 they are usually happier and enjoying life more than someone below age 50 years old.

Turning age 50 is key to 'content and comfortable' life.

Don't be down if you're 50 today – you're entering the age of true happiness.

Researchers say many of those who have passed their half century are enjoying the time of their lives – comfortable and content with their lot.

Golden years are the years of your retirement and golden birthdays are birthdays that when turned around correspond to the day of your birth.

Your golden years are the years after retirement age.

For example if you retire at age 65 years old then your golden years begin at age 65 years old and beyond.

However not everyone's retirement are golden years and for some people the persons health and energy as well as quality of life begins to go downhill.

That is especially true if you don't take care of yourself, eat healthy and stay active and exercise.

I've known some people in their 60's that were worse off in health than someone in their 80's and who have stayed active.

There's also a golden birthday that would be a birthday year where you turn the age that corresponds to the day of the month of your birthday.

An example of the golden birthday would be, if your birthday is 23 May, then your golden birthday is when you turn 23.

If your child's birthday is on 4 June, then their golden birthday is when they turn 4 years old.

A “gold birthday” or “golden birthday” is the year you turn the same age as your birthday for example, turning 25 on the 25th.

The concept of a lucky birthday caught on with her friends and family, and it spread across the world.
