The three main parts of a human body are the head, trunk and limbs.

The head is composed of the cranial and facial parts. It contains the brain, the center of the nervous system.

The torso in the human body is also known as the trunk of the human body.

The torso or trunk is an anatomical term for the central part, or the core, of the body of many animals (including humans), from which the head, neck, limbs, tail and other appendages extend.

The tetrapod torso — including that of a human — is usually divided into the thoracic segment (also known as the upper torso, where the forelimbs extend), the abdominal segment (also known as the "mid-section" or "midriff"), and the pelvic and perineal segments (sometimes known together with the abdomen as the lower torso, where the hindlimbs extend).

In humans, most critical organs, with the notable exception of the brain, are housed within the torso.

In the upper chest, the heart and lungs are protected by the rib cage, and the abdomen contains most of the organs responsible for digestion: the stomach, which breaks down partially digested food via gastric acid; the liver, which respectively produces bile necessary for digestion; the large and small intestines, which extract nutrients from food; the anus, from which fecal wastes are egested; the rectum, which stores feces.

And the gallbladder, which stores and concentrates bile; the kidneys, which produce urine, the ureters, which pass it to the bladder for storage; and the urethra, which excretes urine and in a male passes sperm through the seminal vesicles.

Finally, the pelvic region houses both the male and female reproductive organs.

The trunk in the body or the trunk of the body is the main part of the body also known as the torso of the body and is the main part of the body that contains the chest, abdomen, pelvis, and back.

Most of the body's organs and the backbone are found in the trunk.

A human leg is a limb and the lower limb of the human body.

The lower leg is comprised of two bones, the tibia and the smaller fibula.

The thigh bone, or femur, is the large upper leg bone that connects the lower leg bones (knee joint) to the pelvic bone (hip joint).

The hands and feet are called extremities.

An extremity is a limb or appendage of the body, particularly the hands and feet.

The noun extremity also means the outermost point or part — the one that's farthest away.

The scientific name for hand is Manus.

A finger is considered a limb of the body.

The human finger is a limb of the human body and also a type of digit, an organ of manipulation and sensation found in the hands of most of the Tetrapods, so also with humans and other primates.

The first digit is the thumb, followed by index finger, middle finger, ring finger, and little finger or pinkie.

According to different definitions, the thumb can be called a finger, or not.

The human hand usually has five digits: four fingers plus one thumb; these are often referred to collectively as five fingers, however, whereby the thumb is included as one of the fingers.

A limb (from the Old English lim), or extremity, is a jointed, or prehensile (as octopus arms or new world monkey tails), appendage of the human or other animal body.

In the human body, the upper and lower limbs are commonly called the arms and the legs, respectively.

Arms and legs are connected to torso or trunk.

The most important purpose a human limb serve’s is locomotion.

Thpigh locomotion seems like an easy task, it's a very important function to our human body.

Apart from locomotion, limbs also helps us have upper hand in predator prey situation for both defense and attack.

Many animals use limbs for locomotion, such as walking, running, or climbing.

Some animals can use their front limbs (or upper limbs in humans) to carry and manipulate objects.

Some animals can also use hind limbs for manipulation.
