Italians drink milk with pasta as it's thought that the milk helps with digestion of the pasta.

Italians are firmly convinced that drinking milk after any meal will mess up the stomach's ability to digest food properly.

Italians do use eggs.

Italians are not heavy breakfast eaters.

Eggs, sausage and toast for breakfast utterly perplexes Italians.

Sure, they eat scrambled eggs, but they come in the form of a frittata, served at lunch or dinner.

The idea of eggs at breakfast baffles them.

In Italy, eggs are usually eaten hard-boiled on a lunchtime salad or sandwich, or as a frittata (open-faced omelet) for dinner.

Egg Yolks are Orange in Italy because of the healthy diet the chickens are fed in Italy.

Chickens that truly are pasture-raised, foraging on green plants and bugs, have a diet full of these carotenoids.

As a result, their yolks have this bright orange color, so this color is a sign of a healthy diet full or nutrients.

The reason Italian eggs are not refrigerated is because the Italian eggs are not washed and the chickens are vaccinated for Salmonella.

And actually even then eggs really don't require refrigeration as long as you consume them within a week or two.

Eggs are usually safe to leave out on the counter or in the pantry for a few weeks until you eat them.

In Europe, it's illegal to wash eggs and instead, farms vaccinate chickens against salmonella.

With the cuticle intact, refrigeration could cause mildew growth and contamination.

Eggs do expire.

Although eggs can still be good for a week or so after expiration date.

Eggs are good for about 5 weeks in the refrigerator once you buy them.

As long as the eggs remain refrigerated the eggs can last up to 5 weeks in the refrigerator even when the expiration date has passed.

The eggs are not always bad just because they have expired as long as they are refrigerated they will last 5 weeks which is a little over a month.

You can also freeze eggs and they will last up to a year in the freezer but the shells will crack but that's not usually a problem when you get ready to cook the eggs.

Just crack the egg further and remove the egg shell and put the frozen egg into the pan to thaw for 10 minutes or so and then cook the eggs.

Eggs are usually good for up to 5 weeks in the refrigerator and eggs are usually good for a few weeks at room temperature.

Store bought eggs will last for up to 5 weeks in the refrigerator as long as they remain refrigerated.

That is for eggs that remain in the egg shell.

As long as the eggs remain in the egg shell they will last up to 5 weeks before they go bad.

It's best to eat the eggs within a few weeks of buying them for freshness but the eggs will remain safe to eat for up to 5 weeks after purchase.

If you open the eggs and remove them from the eggshell then they will only last for only 2 to 3 days.

You can scramble the eggs up then freeze the raw eggs that way they will last up to around 6 months.

Freezing the raw eggs once removed from the egg shell will help them last longer.
