To fix a bubbling laminate countertop you can use a heat gun or hairdryer to heat the bubbling area up and then press down on the heated laminate countertop and put something heavy on it to hold it there for awhile.
Usually this will take the bubbling out of the laminate countertop.
Or another way to get bubbling out of laminate countertops is to.
Fold a bath towel in half and place it over the raised or bubbled area.
Place the iron on the towel, and move it back and forth with firm pressure to heat the glue under the laminate. Don't hold the iron in one place, which can melt the laminate or cause widespread bubbling or lifting.
To fix a burn in a laminate countertop all you need is some baking soda, some 200 grit sandpaper and some epoxy for laminate surfaces.
- Sprinkle an abrasive cleaner, such as baking soda, over the burned area.
- Wipe the cleaner up with a damp rag.
- Rub the area with 200-grit sandpaper to remove as much of the burn mark as possible if the abrasive cleaner is not enough to remedy the problem.
- Fill the burn mark/small hole with epoxy.
Doing the above has worked for me when fixing a burn in a laminate countertop.
This has also worked good when I've had burn marks in laminate flooring as well.
You can also fill in scratches on Laminate countertops and laminate flooring this way as well.
It works great and is easy to do.
