Owning a motorcycle can be expensive depending on if you buy a used motorcycle or a new motorcycle.

If you buy a new motorcycle and finance it then you will have the monthly motorcycle payments and then you'll also have to have full coverage motorcycle insurance.

But if you buy and ride a used motorcycle and pay cash for that used motorcycle then you will only need the money to pay for the motorcycle and also just liability motorcycle insurance.

Motorcycle insurance can cost between $200.00 per year to as much as $2,000.00 per year depending on the location, value of motorcycle, your age etc.

Owning a motorcycle is about the same cost of owning a car or other vehicle.

But I find riding a motorcycle much more enjoyable than driving my truck or car.

Full coverage motorcycle insurance is only worth the cost on a motorcycle if you are financing the motorcycle and still owe money on the motorcycle.

If you do not have the motorcycle financed and you own the motorcycle outright then having full coverage motorcycle insurance is basically just a waste of money.

You could put that extra money into a savings account which could then replace the motorcycle should something bad happen to the motorcycle.

Just like on a car that you own outright and do not have financed.

You can save money in the bank by only having liability insurance coverage.

I have liability insurance on my motorcycle and it's good enough.

The average cost of motorcycle insurance is between $500.00 per year to as much as $1,200.00 per year depending on the age of the motorcycle rider and the insurance coverage you want or need for your motorcycle.

Your age factors into the cost of the motorcycle insurance cost as well and a younger first time motorcycle rider will usually pay more for the motorcycle insurance than somebody else who is older as in 25 or older and has a good driving record and has more experience riding a motorcycle.

Your location also factors into the cost of motorcycle insurance.

To get an accurate cost for motorcycle insurance for yourself you should get online motorcycle insurance quotes from several different insurance companies.

The cost of motorcycle insurance per month can vary from person to person and from insurance company to insurance company.

Your age and driving experience also factors into the cost of motorcycle insurance you pay each month.

If you bundle your motorcycle insurance with your other insurance such as your auto insurance, homeowners insurance etc then the motorcycle insurance will usually be cheaper.

Since I bundle my motorcycle insurance with my auto insurance and homeowners insurance I pay only $20.00 per month for my motorcycle insurance.

I have basic liability motorcycle insurance which all I need but if you have full coverage motorcycle insurance than you might pay $50.00 to $100.00 per month.

You should get online quotes for your motorcycle insurance because you might find cheaper or higher cost motorcycle insurance.

But expect to pay between $20.00 to $100.00 per month for your motorcycle insurance depending on your motorcycle and the value of motorcycle insurance you buy.
