When you have dental work such as a tooth extraction and have bleeding gums it usually takes between 4 weeks to 6 weeks for the gums to heal.

Your gums may continue to bleed some for a few days or even up to a week.

If you still have more bleeding on the gums then you should see your dentist or if it's bleeding really bad go to the emergency room for treatment.

It may take up to 8 weeks for your gums to fully heal and return to normal but you should notice the gums healing within 1 week.

But the gums should be fully healed after 8 weeks which is 2 months.

If the gums are not healing properly after a few months then see your dentist about it.
