You would think that Thomas Edison would be the first one to invent the light bulb but actually the light bulb had been around a little longer before Thomas Edison worked on it.
The light bulb was improved upon by Thomas Edison bu the light bulb wasn't invented by Thomas Edison.
Actually it happened over 200 years ago that the light bulb really was invented by a man known as Humphrey Davy.
But Joseph Swan and Thomas Edison were the men to improve upon the light bulbs over the years.
