I have a credit card because I'm trying to build up my credit, I have a lot of money in the bank. I'm unsure how to use a credit card though. Instead of waiting until near the due date to pay off my credit card bill, can I just pay off the balance after each purchase I make?

You can if you want too. But it won't improve your credit rating anymore.

I'd just wait until I got the credit card bill and then send it in as soon as you get the bill.

Paying your credit card bills on time and not missing a payment will greatly help improve your credit rating.
