If you can find oak to burn in your wood stove then oak is a really good firewood with a lot of BTU output.
Oak takes at least 2 years to properly season enough though to burn but once it seasons it puts off good heat from your wood stove.
Other softwood trees are also good to burn as well. About any wood you can find should be a good firewood once it's seasoned.
Even pine is a good firewood to burn once seasoned properly and you keep your wood stove chimney pipe and chimney cleaned out yearly.
