If you work from home should you have a dedicated home office space?

I work from home and currently work on my couch and my laptop but I'm wondering if I'd be more productive and get more done if I turned a spare bedroom into a home office and worked in the dedicated home office space instead of my living room?

Anyone here work from home and have their own dedicated home office space that is only used for your work at home job?

Yes you should setup a dedicated home office if your work from home as it will prevent distractions and help you focus more on your work you do at home and help you focus on getting more work done.

I used to work out of my living room as well and then when I setup a dedicated home office where I go in and close the door my productivity went up and I got more work done.

Another benefit of a home office is you can usually deduct the home office on your income tax.
