Why does my dog bite me when playing with me?

Whenever I try to play with my dog with his chew toy he sometimes wants to grab my leg or arm and playfully chew on me instead of his toy? lol

I don't think he's trying to be mean but just wanting to play but it sometimes hurts and I'd like to be able to get him to stop biting and chewing on me instead.

Whenever your dog bites your leg or arm you tell him or her sternly that that is not a good thing to do and if they're playing with a toy at the time go put the toy up and don't let them have it anymore.

If they continue to bite on you take a spray bottle and spray them with plain water when they start to bite you.

In time the dog will realize that if the try to bite you "even playfully" that they will get sprayed with water and most dogs don't like getting sprayed with water.
