How do you fix the heating element in a dryer?

My heating element went out in my dryer. Or at least I think it has because the electric dryer is not heating up.

How hard is it to replace a heating element in an electric clothes dryer?

Fixing the heating element in a dryer is pretty simple since you'll be just replacing the heating element.

To get to the heating element on the dryer you remove the back access panel. Make sure the dryer is unplugged when doing this to prevent electrocution.

The heating element is located on the right side in an air duct piece. You should see some wires going into it and that will be where the heating element for your dryer is located.

Just unscrew the screws holding the heating element on and then unplug the wires and then plug them back into the new heating element the same as you unplugged them from the old one.

Then put the high limit thermostat back onto the new heating element and then put everything back together.

If everything was plugged in correctly your dryer should now heat up again.

You can find videos on youtube to replace these dryer heating elements as well.
