Which is cheaper to heat a home with Pellet stove or oil fired furnace?

I have an oil fired furnace that runs be $800.00 per month to heat my home each winter.

Will a pellet burning stove be cheaper to heat my home with instead of the oil fired furnace?

How much money will I save if I use a pellet stove to heat my home vs the oil fired hot air furnace?

If you install a pellet stove and only heat the room you stay in most then the cost for pellet heating could be cheaper.

But if you run more than one pellet stove to try and heat the whole house then you could likely be spending the same $800.00 or more for heating pellets per month.

Pellets are usually $5.00 per bag and you might need 1 bag per day to heat just one area you're staying in most.

But if you try to heat the whole house you might be using even more bags. Which could add up in cost.

Then again if you can heat the house using 2 bags of pellets per day then your cost would be around $300.00 per month which is still cheaper than the heating oil you're paying for.
