Does turning a ceiling fan on in the winter help lower heating bills?

If I turn my ceiling fan on in the winter months when my heating is on will using my ceiling fan in the winter help lower my natural gas bill from my furnace?

To save money on your heating bills if you have a ceiling fan then yes do make use of that ceiling fan.

There's a switch on the ceiling fan that you switch over to reverse the ceiling fan.

By having the ceiling fan running in reverse in the winter heating season you'll feel a warmer house and lower energy bills by having the ceiling fan pushing the hot air from the ceiling back down towards the floor.

Hot air rises so most of your heat is up towards the ceiling and the ceiling fan will help push that hot air back down and circulate it throughout the house.
