If A Cell Phone Has Been Disconnected Will It Still Call 911?

Lets say that a cell phone was disconnected and no longer hooked up.

Would someone still be able to use that cell phone to dial 911 and talk to the 911 operator even though the phone has been disconnected?

Yes disconnected cell phones will still call 911. My 2 year old nephew at the time used one and called 911. lol
