When I was younger I worked night shift for a few years as my first job at a sorting facility and it really messed with my sleep pattern and I was always tired and couldn't hardly sleep during the daylight hours when I needed to so I'd be alert at work that night.
Working night shift isn't really bad but not everyone is able to work night shift. You could try it out for awhile and see if you're able to keep the job.
I had to quit and find another job because I was just too tired and my body clock was out of wack.
