Can you be evicted for being late on rent one time?

I'm gonna be late this month paying rent and I'm worried about getting evicted because of being a month late?

Can the landlord evict a tenant for being late one month?

You'd have to read your rent contract and lease to find out what the terms and conditions are on late payments.

But yes a landlord can evict you if you get behind on one rent payment if they want to go through with it.

Best bet is to talk to your landlord and let them know that you're gonna be late in coming up with the rent.

Most landlords will understand if you're only one month late and will work with you to keep you in the rental place.

You might be charged a late fee but you likely won't get kicked out of the rental place if you get the payment made and continue to make on time payments.

If I was a landlord I'd work with you on the payments as I know that things can happen to good people and you can fall behind.

Be sure to contact your landlord though and let them know what is happening.
