Does having tooth pain always mean you have a tooth infection?

I've hat tooth pain for 2 days now that doesn't seem to want to go away. Does tooth pain always mean that a person has a tooth infection?

Tooth pain could be caused by a tooth infection but you can get a tooth ache without having a tooth infection.

If you can you should go see a dentist so they can rule out a tooth infection.
