I want to check my credit score but I'm worried that if I check my own credit score that it might lower the score?

Checking your own credit score through sites such as creditkarma will not lower your credit score.

The only time your credit score might lower is when you apply for loans or credit cards and they check your credit score doing a hard inquiry.

The hard inquiry should drop off your credit report within a month or less. That's when your credit score might lower when a company checks your credit.

But your credit score will not lower when you pull up your own credit report.
