In the beginning your newborn will need to be fed every 2 or 3 hours and the amount of formula or breast milk your baby will need will increase as the baby gets older.
Babies will usually nurse from 7 or 9 times. For formula fed babies you will probably be feeding your baby at least 7 times per day.
A baby will usually cry and let you know when he or she is hungry and ready to be fed. They will also wake you up in the middle of the night for middle of the night feedings as well.
