If your baby is a year old or under you should always place them on their back in their crib to sleep.
But if your baby has rolled over on their side on their own and is able to roll back onto their back on their own then it's okay to let the baby sleep on their side.
The safest sleep position though for a 1 year old and under is on their backs though.
