Why should I care whether I recycle something or not and just throw it away instead?

I really don't care what happens to the earth once I'm dead and gone and I honestly don't care what happens to the earth and how the current generation of kids will get by if nothing gets recycled and they run out of resources.

I never recycle unless something pays money otherwise it just goes into the trash instead.

I only recycle things too if I can get money from it. Otherwise in the trash it goes. My parents have a recycling bin but I don't.

To earn extra money to keep the bills paid I pickup scrap metal that people no longer want and I haul it in to make money.

Currently right now I'm sitting on about 10 tons of scrap tin and iron in a salvage storage yard that my dad started before I was born in the 80s. I was born in 1988 and he started the scrap metal recycling business a few years before that.

I have to store the tin and iron because right now it's worthless and I can't cover my gas cost to haul it in to the scrap metal yard.

I'm honestly hoping I can get out of the scrap hauling business and retire off my websites income in the future.

Scrap metal prices drop too much and can't stay constant so It makes it hard to make a living from the scrap metal and it takes a lot of work to make the little money you do from it.

I have 100 lbs of scrap copper sitting in buckets right now that I can't sell at the current scrap copper prices.

And scrap aluminum I also have around 200 lbs of clean scrap aluminum. The price is too low at 28 cents per lb to cover my cost of gas to haul it to the scrap yard to get paid.
