Do People Actually Die in Their Sleep?

Can people actually die in their sleep, without first waking up with the pain or surprise of the sudden crisis that lead to their death?

Many people die from Heart Attacks while asleep. From what I've gathered from info on the internet people do die without being aware that they're dying or died while sleeping.

When I die I hope it's in my sleep without any pain.
