I can't sleep because it's really windy outside?

Anyone else have this problem? It's really windy outside and has been windy all day and It's nearly 1:00 AM now and up because I can't get to sleep because of the sound of the wind blowing around outside.

Same here. The wind is blowing around 40 MPH and I can't sleep either. Wish the wind would calm down already so we can get some much needed sleep.

I have trouble sleeping when it's very windy outside too and when it's windy and I need some sleep I'll use a white noise machine or turn on the TV to where it drowns out the wind.

I have fears though that trees nearby may blow down and land on top of my house or the wind might blow something through my windows.

Sometimes I'll even put in earplugs and take some sleeping pills if I still cannot get to sleep.

Also you would really think that it's only for babies but I find that putting a lullaby on with my android phone It tends to help calm me down and helps with my fears and I'm usually asleep soon after.

You can find some free lullabies on Youtube that you can play and it might help you too.

You can also try putting more blankets over your body and head to help block out the noise and it would protect you if something did blow through the windows.
