I'm currently renting an apartment and really want to own my own home.

I can't get financed for a regular stick built home. But I can get a mobile home that needs a little work for around $6,000.00

Are these mobile homes worth fixing up and living in long term?

I wouldn't purchase it to live in long term. They're not made very well and are in reality disposable homes.

Never buy a new mobile home as they depreciate as soon as they're pulled off the lot.

I see new mobile homes selling as high as some in good shape standard homes.

I'd live in the mobile temporarily or just continue to rent and save the $6,000.00 for a down payment on a regular home in the future.
