I don't think meningitis can be cured completely. But It can be treated with antibiotics and I had a nephew that had meningitis and almost died from it when he was a baby and after he got treatment he was fine and hasn't come down with meningitis since.
Who knows he may have been cured with medicine and treatment or by some miracle it might have just gone away completely later on in life.
He's 23 now and doing good.
