Can disposable diapers be burned?

I live out in the country and we burn wood for heat in the winter. We have a hard time getting rid of disposable diapers and I wonder if disposable diapers would burn in a wood stove?

Would it hurt to put my babies disposable diapers in the wood stove to burn them?

Has anyone tried burning disposable diapers in a wood stove?

Disposable diapers are pretty fire retardant and hard to burn.

A wood stove though might get the disposable diaper hot enough to actually burn it.

It's worth a try and won't do any harm to put one in the wood stove to see what happens.

I have a friend who heats with wood and when his kids were babies and in diapers he'd dispose of the dirty diaper right away into the wood stove instead of the trash.

It always burned completely within about an hour. So yes you should be okay to dispose of the disposable diapers in the wood stove.

That's a better way to get rid of the disposable diapers anyway. You create heat for your home and it doesn't sit in a landfill for years and years.
