Can a freelancer get a mortgage to buy a home?

I work as a freelancer and that's all I do to make a living. Can I still get a mortgage to buy a home if all I do is freelance work at home?

As long as you showed income from freelancing for at least 2 years or more then the bank might let you get a home mortgage being a freelancer.
