By now the vast majority of folks who own a TV have at least heard of self-driving vehicles that auto manufacturer are racing to introduce to mass markets in the U.S. and around the world.   Some of us have also heard about companies like Google that are investing heavily in the engineering and technology needed to make these vehicles a reality.

And some, a small percentage, may have seen these vehicles up close, albeit in small metro areas where experimental fleets are testing the vehicles in places like Phoenix, Sacramento or Pittsburgh.  They're coming.  The self-driving vehicles will arrive and that time will be stunning.  While there's tremendous interest and curiosity, I have to ask... Would you be willing today to put your life in the hands of a vehicle with no human driver?

My answer is no. I sure wouldn't trust it. I want a driver to be in control or at least me.

No I wouldn't. I'd rather walk or ride my bicycle than get into a vehicle that drove itself.

I certainly would not. I don't trust a car that's driving itself. I want a human driver at the controls.
