Are refrigerators supposed to run constantly?

I just a got a new refrigerator yesterday and it seems to be running constantly and not shutting off?

It's getting and keeping food cold but it seems to be running longer than my old refrigerator.

A refrigerator should not run constantly. Make sure your doors are completely sealing.

Did you remove all the tape on the seals of the door? That's an easy thing to overlook. Most if not all refrigerators have tape on the seals of the refrigerator to help hold the seals in place during transport.

At least the refrigerators I've seen have.

Then again it might just be getting broken in and might not continue to run as much after awhile.

How long have you had it plugged in. It will run longer during first start up and when it's cooling down in the beginning. But after at least a day it shouldn't run as much.
