What happens if someone hits my car and they have no insurance on their car?

A lady hit my car and she didn't have any insurance? Can I sue somebody for the damages if the lady didn't have insurance?

When another driver hits your car or other vehicle and they have no insurance then you take it up with your own insurance company and your insurance policy should have an uninsured motorist policy that will take care of your vehicles damage due to an uninsured motorist.
