My Whirlpool washing machine is not getting all the water out of the clothes?

My washing machine today started to leave water in the clothes. The water drains out of the washing machine but the clothes are still very wet when I take them out of the washing machine?

When a washing machine doesn't spin out all the water in the clothes it's usually due to the brake shoe not releasing on your washing machine when it goes to spin the water out.

Most washing machines will have a brake drum and brake shoes similar to what's on a vehicle.

The spring on the brake shoes might have come lose.

It's very easy to fix if your mechanically inclined but if not and it's cheap washing machine around $300.00 you might be better off to just purchase a new washing machine as a service call and the hourly cost to fix it from an appliance repair place could cost close to the amount of a new washing machine.
