When you were a kid were you ever sent to bed early for getting in trouble?

I used to get sent to bed early for punishment when i was a kid but it did nothing to help correct my behavior as I would still be up in my room.

What do you think of sending your kid to bed early for punishment for bad behavior?

Yes that was one of the punishments used on me when I was kid as well as spankings.

When I would get in trouble for something my mom would make me go to my room early. I didn't go to sleep though and got into more trouble. If I didn't quiet down in my room when I was being punished I would get a spanking with a belt and that made me behave and I tired myself out so much from yelling and throwing my tantrums that I would eventually go to sleep.

When I would fake being sick to get out of going to school my mom would try and force me to stay in my bed but eventually she'd get tired of staying by my bedroom door and I would sneak out the door when she wasn't looking or she was in the bathroom and I'd take off outside.

I also would sneak out my bedroom window.

I hated school so much that I faked being sick a lot. I started faking sick when I was 6 years old and continued on faking sick until I was around 10. My mom caught on pretty quick to what I was doing.

I could only fool her for so long.

My dad once caught me putting the thermometer up near a 100 watt light bulb in the lamp when I was 7.

I'm 29 now will be 30 years old March 8th 2018 and I turned out to be a good person. Those spankings I got when I deserved them help keep me inline.
