If I register a domain and put private whois on the domain registration does it hurt my SEO rankings in google?

NO having private domain whois on domain registration doesn't affect seo rankings at all.

Although if you're a business and have private whois then potential customers may be turned off by that as most legit online companies have their whois information for domains public.

But for seo it doesn't matter.
