Is stripping copper wire worth the effort?

I have some scrap romex wire and some other smaller wire such as extension cords, vacuum cleaner cords, lamp cords etc.

Are these copper wires worth stripping the insulation off of to get the extra money?

What's the best way to strip these copper wires?

For me I think stripping copper wire is worth it. I strip copper wire when I'm bored and not doing anything else or when the weather is bad outside.

Stripping copper wire you can get paid more for the copper. The really thin wires though I just sell as is. But the bigger wires I strip and it's well worth it to me.
