First off. I'm not suicidal and have no plans to kill myself. But I'm just curious what others on here think.

Should people be allowed to kill their self if they don't want to live on this earth anymore?

Why should we stop someone from killing their self when we're all gonna die eventually anyway?

People say it's selfish to kill yourself but aren't people being selfish when they want to force the person to live and put them in a mental hospital for wanting to kill their self?

I personally think that people should have a right to end their life when they see fit without anyone interfering or stopping them.

I can see the difference in stopping a kid or teen from killing their self as they don't have fully developed minds, but adults should be allowed to kill their self anytime they want.

I know it's illegal to kill yourself but if you kill yourself then what can they really do? Put your dead body in prison or fine your dead body or take your dead body to court?

People shouldn't commit suicide because it's always a permanent solution to a temporary problem. If you're young things can eventually change for you. But you have to help make these changes happen as they won't just happen on their own.

I do think though that if someone is terminally ill and there's no cure then the person should have a right to assisted suicide in that case so they can end their life before they suffer too much.

But just plain suicide we should try to prevent it as although the suffering ends for the person committing suicide the suffering then begins for the family.

Another thing to consider. If you try to commit suicide you may not actually die and you could make your situation worse by being paralyzed or brain damaged or something else.

There's been people who tried suicide but didn't die and are now in a worse condition then they were before.
