Would you rather kill yourself before you had to be put into a nursing care home?

As I get older and each year passes I've been thinking about having to eventually go into a nursing home. "Although it's years down the road" but I've seen people in nursing homes, especially my grandparents and they looked so depressed and didn't feel full of life.

Living in a nursing home doesn't sound very appealing to me at all and I see no point in living like that.

I've been thinking that once I got to the point of needing 24/7 nursing care that I'd just rather die instead of being stuck in a nursing home waiting for my death to come.

If I got the to the point of needing 24/7 care and couldn't feed myself, use the bathroom or know anyone then yes I'd likely kill myself before going into a nursing home.

Kind of odd though. When we're born we're helpless and can't use the bathroom, feed ourselves, bathe ourselves etc and our parents take care of us 24/7 too. And sometimes when we get old we need that same level of care.

It was okay though when I was baby to need that care but once I get old and need that care then I'd rather die.
