To legit make money online use Adsense to monetize a website.
If you already have the website traffic you can make money overnight from it. But if you don't have enough website traffic and are just starting out with Adsense and a website it can take up to 6 years to earn a living off of Adsense.
You can make money through youtube too by making interesting videos and monetizing them with google Adsense.
You have to wait till you get $100.00 though before google Adsense will pay out your earnings.
