Is it okay for cats to eat dog food?

Can cat's eat dog food? I'm running low on cat food and can't really get anymore until Monday. I have dog food for my dog though.

Can my cat eat some of my dogs dog food instead until I get paid and can buy my cat some more cat food?

It's not recommended as dog food is different than cat food. But your cat will be fine eating dog food for a few days. That is if he'll eat the dog food.

Some cats won't touch dog food and would rather starve.

You might give your cat some table scraps instead if your cat won't eat dog food.
