My website is only 1 year old now. It get's around 800 daily unique website visitors and is only earning a few dollars per month from Adsense.

I've written lots of posts and have 1,000 blog posts on my blog. I've used long tail keywords also but still the website traffic isn't rising above 800 daily unique website visitors.

Do websites start seeing more website traffic and higher search engine rankings the older they get?

Yes older domains do tend to rank alot better in search engines.

A 10 year old domain and website will rank better than a 1 year old domain.

Domains do actually get a better rank once the website has aged for awhile.

On my forum http://webmasterbabble.com I notice it's ranking on the first page of google for some keywords that it wasn't ranking for when it was only a few years old.

My forum webmasterbabble.com is now over 5 years old and will be 6 years old on February 8th 2018.

I just renewed the domain until 2019 and will continue to renew it for years to come.

So yes give your website time to gain website traffic and seo ranking. New websites can rank for keywords but the older the domain gets and the older the website and content gets the better your chances at ranking.

Being online longer it shows google that your website isn't just a new spam site. Google likes older websites and domains and trusts the established websites more than new ones.

Your 1 year old website is still pretty new just keep working on your website and give it time.
