A lot of the things a vet tells you to not feed your dog is plain wrong advice. They tell you this stuff so you'll buy their expensive food.
I had a dog that I fed him table scrap, grapes, chocolate and other candies. And he lived a full healthy happy life.
Basically if you can eat the food then the dog can really eat it too.
The dog food they sell to you is probably actually worse for the dog than the food you're eating.
