Should life in prison mean life for serious offenders?

When a serious offender such as a murderer is sentenced to life in prison should that person have to stay in prison for the rest of his/her life without parole?

Yes for a serious offender that we know can't or won't
want to be Rehabilitated.
If someone murders someone intentionally in cold blood and doesn't regret it then they should certainly stay in prison until they die.
