If I refuse to answer the door for the Census Taker worker than what will happen?

I received a letter in the mail stating I needed to take the Census survey online. But I never did take it.
I know that now the Census worker will be around sometime.

What happens if I refuse to answer the door for them?

Will they call the police and have me arrested?

The only thing that will happen is that they'll keep hounding you and showing up. But the Census Taker will eventually give up and go away.

It says that you can be fined but I've never been fined for not taking the Census survey or for not opening the door for the Census taker.

The threats are just empty threats so don't worry about it.

If you look at the envelope or paper it will say that the survey is not just for you so they can't prosecute you since they weren't targeting one person.

Throw the census form and mail out and don't respond.
