Assuming you're healthy you pretty much have to want to lose bladder control for it to actually happen. If you use your diaper the way that you use the toilet it'll be much easier to maintain bladder control. Also, if you don't wear 24/7/365 you probably won't lose bladder control. 24/7 for a week is probably fine.
The "problems" start when people who want to lose bladder control wet their diapers regularly without thinking about what they're doing. When you have to pee, your bladder tells your brain, and your brain tells you to find a toilet.
If you have a diaper on, and you've trained your brain to ignore the bladder's warning, you can lose bladder control.
If you've trained your brain to wait even with a diaper on, your not going to lose bladder control, because you're still listening to your bladder, and you're still using your urinary sphincter's muscles. It's not wearing or even wetting the diaper the causes loss of bladder control, it's not using your urinary sphincter's muscles, and mentally training yourself to lose bladder control by doing so.
